All about Thulani

Thulani (Too-lah-nee) is a small, fluffy, South African bear, measuring 14cm x10cm.  This bear has been bitten by the travel bug and his New Year's resolution for 2011 is to travel the world!  Big dreams for a little bear, but with your help we are hoping to make his dreams come true.  Thulani is looking for about 15 host families in countries sprinkled right across the globe.

So, what does being a host family entail, you're wondering?  Well, that's the fun part!  We're hoping that Thulani will spend about a week with each family and that during that time the family will take him to an interesting place (or two!) in their area and take a picture of him there.  They'll need to fill in his diary, telling us a little about their area and what Thulani has seen and done there. The host family will need to email a photo (or two) of Thulani out and about in their area and a copy of the diary entries to Paula, so that she can update this blog.  Finally the host family will need to post Thulani to the next family on the list and cover the cost of the postage.

If this sounds like something you'd like to get involved in (and we really hope it does!) then please contact Paula at thulanitravels@hotmail.co.za and she can send you further details.  A final itinerary of Thulani's journey and his host families will be posted on this blog in the next couple of weeks.
