Thulani (Too-lah-nee) is a small South African bear who has been bitten by the travel bug in a big way! This blog will follow the travels of Thulani Bear as he visits various countries around the globe during 2011.
12 May Thulani went with me to my work, because we had a Forget-Me-Not Day yesterday. This is our national flower, which tells us to not forget our acestors, our heritage and our hospitality. The children had to be dressed in blue and they all went on a nice walk around the school area.

Unfortunatelly Thulani left us today, we sent the parcel to France now!!!!! Good luck there my little friend! It was difficult to part with you :(
How silly we had one week off school/work and my car had to break down so we couldn't show Thulani a lot of Szczecin, but Thulani wanted to visit my friend, so she promissed to take the little bear on a sight-seeing outing... they will be back with me tomorrow together with the pics
Well, here we are, got some pictures from my friend Gosia Juzenas. She told me ,that Thulani had had the best time of his life. Visiting our docks, being in front of the Pomaranian Castle, checking our Town Hall. They had a good tour through the whole Szczecin but most of the places they didn't go out from the car. We were at a ball room dancing tournament yesterday-Sat 21.04, but there were so many people that Thulani was a bit anxious. He stayed in my handbag all day because he didn't want to be lost. Anyway, Viktoria won a gold medal and Thulani was very proud of her .
Today, 22.04-Sunday, we had a lazy day, the weather wasn't too good, a bit rainy and a bit cold and windy, so we stayed at home enjoying our company. Thulani was helping me prepare some things for my work and doing a bit of cleaning with my hubby. Then we had a lovely dinner together. Afterwards, Thulani, my dogs and my husband were watching F1
Thuliani arrived to Szczecin, Poland on Friday morning... and decided to go to my work with me and my children. We had a lovely day, Thuliani decided to have some pics taken in the stuff room and he helped me to make some photocopies for my pupils... after the hard work he had a little rest. He went with me to teach children and say about himself. The day was tiring and when we came home he played a bit with my children and looked in the garden for some nice place to rest. He really liked sitting between the plants. He also liked our Easter basket, which we make every Easter Saturday and go with it to the church. Inside the basket we have a bit of each type of food, a ham, some bread, a cake, something sweet and some eggs of course. A priest is blessing the food we bring so we won't lack it for next year. We bring the basket home and share the food with our love ones.
Thulani decided to visit our home pets the lineolated parakeets and the dogs but the dogs were too busy with their own things... the birds however, were friendly and open for the guest, shared some seeds and a bit of water with him :) tomorrow we are going to the ball room dancing contests, so we have to go to bed early... a long day is in front of us :)
